Grapevines, peaches, nectarines, jasmine, ginger, bay, myrtle and many other plants shelter in the unheated greenhouse. Passionflowers bloom exotically in summer, the mysterious mandrake can be seen in spring, lemon verbena provides scent and the pale yellow snapdragons of Asarina procumbens clamber to the roof. The Victorian construction is evident in the iron floor grilles which have been known to trap high-heeled visitors…

We've now completed our brief tour of the garden but the tour would not be complete without mentioning the long standing link with the Arts…
