Mediterranean Border
Beneath a line of productive cherry trees is a long rosemary hedge on the wall side. On your right, inside a hedge of pink lavender, is a pond, set in a mediterranean style garden of aromatic plants. A hedge of buddleias, which attracts the butterflies stands behind the Mediterranean Border of labiates, rosemaries, thymes, sages, lavenders and some of the plants from the National Collection of Origanum (marjoram).
On the opposite side of the path are rows of flowers for harvesting and drying; a 30 metre long pink lavender hedge and behind that a tall flat headed yellow yarrow.
Continue down the east wall and on your right is the Roman Garden
and discover the Herb Bed, Roman Garden, Thyme Bank, Pool Garden, and Greenhouse. Knot Garden, and see the various themed borders such as Long Border, West Wall Border, and the Herbaceous Borders.
