Opening Times and Map
Opening Times: Chesters Walled Garden is open 10 am - 5 pm every day of the week from March 20th to October 31st. Opening times from November to mid March will depend on the weather and it is advisable to check by phone first. 01434 681483
Charges: Entry to the nursery and shop is free. There is an entrance charge of £3 to the garden, with no charge to children under 10.
How to get there: We are six miles north of Hexham, Northumberland, just off the B6318 which is known locally as the 'Military Road' and half a mile west of Chollerford. During the main season there is a Roman Wall bus service which stops at Chesters Roman Fort, a five minute walk from the garden. Details from Hexham Tourist Information Centre.

Places to eat: There are lots of cafes, restaurants and pubs in Hexham, the Hadrian pub at Wall on the way to our garden if you are travelling from the south or the Boatside Inn at Warden 3 miles southwest of us.
We recommend St Oswalds Tea Rooms two miles east of Chollerford on the B6318 for light lunches and teas.
